Digital transformation and process optimisation consulting
Digital transformation usually fails because a tool is bought for a process nobody has described. We work the other way round.
Digital transformation and process optimisation
Before anything is bought, we establish which process is the real constraint, what is worth changing and in what order. The result is a transformation plan broken into projects, each with an owner, a deadline and a measurable effect.
What you have at the end
- As-is map of the chosen process
- Business case with a benefits map and benefit owners
- Prioritised roadmap by phase
- A set of projects, each with an owner, a deadline and a measurable effect
How we work
How a digital transformation engagement starts
Process before tool.
We pick the process that costs the most, describe it as it really runs, assess the benefit, and only then choose a tool. The output is a plan already broken into projects that are ready to start. The business case is written for a management decision: which benefit, who owns it and when it will be measured.
The first step is normally a delivery assessment: two to three weeks, fixed scope and fixed price, with written findings. Only then do we agree further work, if any is needed. See Engagement models.
Frequently asked questions about digital transformation
Where do you start with digital transformation?
With the process that costs the most or constrains the most, described as it actually runs rather than as the written procedure says. Only then does choosing a tool make sense — and it usually turns out that less software is needed than expected.
Is digital transformation the same as process optimisation?
Process optimisation is part of it. Transformation also changes ways of working and accountabilities, so alongside the technical work it needs the people who will work the new way prepared — that is the job of service 04, risk and change management.
Do you sell software or licences?
No. We do not resell software and hold no vendor partnerships, so our tool recommendations depend on nothing but what you need.
How long does it take, and what exactly do you get?
The first step is a two-to-three-week assessment at fixed scope and fixed price: a map of one process, an assessment of the benefit and a proposed order. From that comes a plan divided into projects. Running those projects is agreed separately — per project, each with an owner, a deadline and a measurable effect — and lasts as long as the projects themselves.
